Idaaaaalia

I dunno hOW I FOUND TIME TO DO THIS... I'M STILL DROWNING IN HOMEWORK....
But I reaLLY WANTED TO ENTER THIS ;-;

This is for 's contest!
Gosh all of the characters sounded so wonderful, I honestly had a lot of trouble picking which one to work with, but I decided to try my hand at Idalia!
I suppose thIS IS THE POint where I explain my design yes

When I read Idalia's description, the immediate image I got was of a woman who just doES NOT act or seem her age. She's said to be nearly as old as the galaxy, and yet I still picture her as a perky and jolly lady who's going to give you lots of hugs if you're down.
I was originally going to give her a bright design, but decided to dull her down all over to give some indication of her age, kinda mirroring a star's life. I wanted to stick to a peach/orange scheme as much as possible, but added a bit of darker red in her hair to try and like... symbolize a star's life throughout her hair. Starting out bright near the top, which would be her newer hair, and dulling down to a darker red near the bottom, which is her oldest hair, to reference an old red giant star.
I gave her sparklies at the bottom of her dress to make it kinda look like the first stars you seem come out during a sunset!!
The tiny tiara thing is kinda cliche, and she's not a queen or princess or anything, but since she's the grand overseer of the Irnovian council, I wanted it to kinda make her look like the North Star, like the one who guides the rest.
And since the other members of the council are super important to her, and since she sees them like family, I gave her four bracelets on each arm, one for each member! 
I don't really have an explanation for the galactic scarf/sash/boa thing I just thought it loOKED KINDA NEAT.....
I didn't want to give her an overly complicated design, I picture Idalia being a modest lady, but I still tried to find one that would immediately give a sense of importance without being overkill...
I think the last thing is that all Irnovians have hair that ends in five points, Idalia excluded. I reALLY love this little hair rule, so I gave Idalia 10 points in her hair instead of 5 \o/ DOUBLE THE IMPORTANCE B) Even though some of the points are kinda. hard. to see. I just couldn't bring myself to totally ignore the 5-point rule, I love it so much...

I had a lot of fun doing this! I was so determined to enter this contest oh my god. I honestly had to sketch this during my classes so that I would have something to enter with, I reaLLY REALLY WANTED TO TAKE PART ;-;
Kito if there's anything that needs fixing, I'll be happy to! And I apOLOGIZE if any of headcanons are like horrifically inaccurate.
I've honestly come to love Idalia so much from this, what the heck.
